The Unit of Radiology carries out the diagnosis of diseases using radiation research methods based on the achievements of modern medical science and technology and provides qualified advice to specialists of the Center on radiation diagnostics.
The main tasks of the Unit:
1) provision of specialized diagnostic assistance to the population, including children, timely and high-quality research using radiology methods based on the achievements of modern medical science and technology;
2) introduction of new advanced innovative treatment methods into practice;
3) interrelation and continuity in work with other medical and diagnostic healthcare institutions.

The functions of the Unit:
1) highly qualified research using radiology methods;
2) provision of qualified advisory assistance to the Center’s specialists on issues of radiation diagnosis of diseases, interrelation and continuity in work with other structural divisions of the Center, medical and preventive institutions;
3) systematic development and practical implementation of advanced methods and means of radiation diagnostics, new diagnostic techniques and standards for conducting radiation examinations, new diagnostic equipment and facilities;
4) development and improvement of organizational forms and methods of medical care for patients and population, improving the quality and culture of work;
5) systematic analysis of qualitative and quantitative indicators of the Unit’s work and the use of its results to develop measures to improve the quality of radiation research;
6) identification and analysis of the reasons for the discrepancy between the conclusions made using radiation research methods and the results of other diagnostic methods, clinical and pathoanatomical diagnoses;
7) systematic professional development of the Unit’s staff;
8) control over the implementation and application of measures to comply with the rules of the internal labor regulations of the Center, labor protection and safety, fire safety, sanitary and hygienic and anti-epidemic regime in the department, the timeliness of dosimetric measurements, the approved schedule and work schedule of the Unit and the Center;
9) submission of reports on its activities in accordance with established forms and deadlines;
10) participation in the implementation and compliance with JCI standards in daily work.
