Rehabilitation Treatment Unit

The main tasks of the Unit are:
1) Carrying out therapeutic, rehabilitative and preventive measures using physical factors;
2) Control over the performance of prescribed physiotherapy procedures and analysis of errors in prescribing physiotherapy procedures by doctors of other specialties;
3) Organization of measures for the training and advanced training of doctors and nursing staff in the field of rehabilitation treatment;
4) The introduction into practice of new methods of rehabilitation treatment, physiotherapy and physioprophylaxis;
5) Organization of promotion of physiotherapy methods among medical professionals;
6) Continuity, succession, sequence and phasing, individual approach in the organization and implementation of the treatment program.
The functions of the Unit:
1) Drawing up an individual program of rehabilitative treatment of the patient and its implementation using modern facilities and methods of rehabilitative treatment;
2) Mastering modern methods and means of rehabilitative treatment based on the achievements of science, technology and best practices of medical institutions and applying them into practice of the Unit;
3) Provision of advisory and organizational and methodological assistance on issues of rehabilitation treatment to polyclinic institutions in the area of activity of the Unit;
4) Coordination of the Unit's interaction with other structural divisions of the Center;
5) Conducting clinical reviews of cases of unjustified referral for rehabilitation treatment, defects in the management of the patient at the stages of treatment, ineffectiveness of ongoing rehabilitation measures, etc.;
6) The use of complex treatment methods: all types of hardware physiotherapy, physical therapy and massage, mechanotherapy, psychotherapy aimed at partial or complete restoration of cardiovascular activity, motor and speech functions impaired as a result of heart and vascular diseases;
7) Organization of measures to improve the skills of doctors and nursing staff in accordance with the established procedure;
8) Participation in the development and improvement of the regulatory framework of the healthcare industry on issues of physiotherapy care to the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
9) Participation in the implementation of advanced medical technologies, international quality and safety standards within the framework of international JCI accreditation, following documented policies and procedures in the performance of their duties;
10) Other functions within the competence of the Unit.
