The Unit of Interventional Arrhythmology provides specialized and highly specialized therapeutic and diagnostic medical care to the population in the field of interventional cardiology.
The main functions of the Unit:
1) conducting invasive diagnostics of cardiovascular diseases, including atherosclerosis, arrhythmias, acquired and congenital heart defects, cardiomyopathy. Examination of patients who are candidates for heart transplantation and circulatory support devices.
2) accurate diagnosis, the use of objective examination methods, the identification of common and specific signs of diseases, the establishment of a clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis of cardiac diseases, highly qualified care and treatment;
3) stenting of coronary and peripheral arteries;
4) implantation of occluders in congenital heart defects;
5) angioplasty for congenital and acquired heart defects;
6) implantation of aortic valve prostheses, clipping of the mitral valve;
7) carrying out renal artery denervation;
8) implantation of pacemakers, resynchronizing devices, ablation in case of arrhythmias;
9) participation in scientific research, generalization of clinical and scientific data in order to develop new methods of providing specialized and highly qualified medical care;
10) implementation of a quality improvement plan, including monitoring of relevant indicators, compliance with standards and policies, procedures of clinical protocols and rules, consideration of complaints and suggestions from patients and their families, projects to improve the quality of services provided.
